Land Heritage Trust is a national Charity that works to protect and sustain the countryside by promoting organic farming and growing with a special interest in the protection of the small family farm. Uniquely, Land Heritage owns land and acquires farms to secure their organic status and is committed to the conservation of our native wildlife, flora and fauna. Land Heritage is developing new educational facilities - the Land Heritage Education Centre for Farming and Food - at the Trust's headquarters at Summerhill Farm in mid Devon. The Centre will consolidate and advance the Trust's educational outreach providing a variety of courses, activities and experiences for all ages and all backgrounds designed to promote a wider understanding not only of organic food and farming but of the essential role of the small family farmer for a viable rural economy.
