About Land Heritage
Land Heritage Trust is a national charity with over 20 years experience of protecting and sustaining the countryside by promoting organic farming and growing and encouraging the conservation of our native wildlife, flora and fauna. A board of 8 Directors with long-held experiences in organic farming and growing, conservation and education runs the Trust in conjunction with an Executive Director and a Trust Manager. Land Heritage is unique in that it is the only charity in Britain whose primary founding aim is to own and acquire land in order to secure its organic status, creating new tenancies for first generation farmers and young families. The current portfolio of farms includes two farms on the Brendon Hills in Somerset and two in Devon, the most recent acquisition being Summerhill Farm, the Trust’s headquarters.
