2) The Children’s Farm – a wildlife garden for schools
This educational pack contains detailed instructions for setting up a wildlife garden as a children’s farm in the school grounds. It is suitable for all ages from junior to secondary and is unique in the inclusion of farming crafts (dry stone walling, hedge laying, coppicing etc) and in highlighting the essential nature of the small farm. There are 6 self-contained modules: the pond, the marsh, the summer meadow, the spring meadow, the woodland hedge, and the compost area.
